Community Resources

In October 2017, the Morgantown City Council passed an ordinance that added sexual orientation and gender identity to our town's nondiscrimination policy in employment, housing, and public accommodations. A broad-based coalition of community organizations were key to this important change and our community continues to work to ensure that LGBTQ+ people are welcome in Morgantown, the surrounding communities, and the state. Our community, too, offers many opportunities to engage in service to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people and others as well--consider the organizations listed here (and many more) as possible sites for service work and other contributions.
