Point Foundation Invites Applicants for LGBTQ Scholarships.
This holiday season, please remember those in our LGBTQ+ family who are incarcerated and will therefore be spending the holidays without their friends and families. During the holidays, the LGBTQ+ Center participates in the Black + Pink Holiday Card project. Please stop by the center (the Maple House, 724 College Ave.) and sign a postcard, and let someone who is alone for the holidays know that they are remembered and wished well. This December, the LGBTQ+ Center is collecting donations of personal hygiene and home cleaning supplies for the pantry at Caritas House - a local non-profit organization providing support, assistance and services to West Virginians in 22 counties impacted by HIV/AIDs, homelessness, and those recovering fro substance abuse. If you would like to donate, some of the items needed include:
Feminine Hygiene Products
Shaving Cream- Men's & Women's Razors
Kids Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
Bar soap, hand soap, body wash, face wash
Tissues/Toilet Paper/Paper Towels
Laundry Soap/Dryer Sheets/
All purpose cleaner
Socks (Men's, Women's & Children's)
Please drop off any donations at the LGBTQ+ Center, Hodges Hall, G-06, anytime during business hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
