Dance Your Way To Wellness (With Tinh Dang) 

Tuesday, April 8th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Mountainlair- Small Gold Ballroom

Tuesday, April 22nd from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Mountainlair- Mountaineer Room

Want to get grooving in an inclusive environment while building community? Join the Carruth Center and the LGBTQ+ Center for Dance Your Way to Wellness! This weekly program will provide a comfortable space for students to practice dance movements in ways authentic to them to promote physical and mental wellbeing and connect with themselves and others.

✨This program is open to all students of all identities. No dance experience required, and all abilities are welcome!✨


Pride On The Green

Monday, April 14 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

Fraternity & Sorority Student Organizations and the LGBTQ+ Center have teamed up to throw a party on the Mountainlair Green!

Teams will make displays to share knowledge about the LGBTQ+ Community while they compete to see who can donate the most food to Project Rainbow, a local nonprofit shelter offering services to unhoused LGBTQ+ People in North Central WV. We’re going to have live music and vendors from WVU & the greater Morgantown area showing what they have to offer students!

Everyone keeps saying we need to put down the screens and take a break from the internet, but what are you supposed to do with that time? Isn’t part of the point of screen time to fill the yawning chasm of boredom and restlessness? What else could people possibly be doing on a random Wednesday evening? Fear not, friends. A break from the doom scroll has presented itself!

✨Join the Carruth Center for activities that reduce stress, build connections, and give you practical ways to unplug from social media.


WGST Celebration and Recognition Ceremony

The Center for Women's and Gender Studies would like to invite you to celebrate 47 years of women's and gender studies at WVU. We are hosting an event on April 24th to celebrate our continued existence and to recognize the accomplishments of our students and faculty. We would love for you and your faculty to join us. Can you please circulate the attached flyer to your list serves and pass on to any other interested parties?

Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. In these fraught times, it is particularly important to come together as a faculty and enjoy some camaraderie and joy.

 

The Rack at WVU

The Rack: WVU Student Food Pantry is committed to alleviating hunger and fostering a healthy, inclusive community by providing access to food and essential items for all WVU students.

The Rack has three locations that students can visit once per day, every day as needed. Offerings include fresh produce, perishable and nonperishable food items, and hygiene products—all available to currently enrolled students.

All students are welcome to use The Rack’s services. Just complete the yearly intake form before visiting, or stop by and ask for assistance if you need help getting started.

 

Gamma Rho Lambda - New In Town?

An all-inclusive social sorority emphasizing tolerance, diversity, unity, and trust wants to start a chapter at WVU! Gamma Rho Lambda (GRL) welcomes potential members of all genders, sexual and romantic orientations, races, cultures, and abilities, and offers a network of assistance in the areas of scholastic guidance, emotional support, and community service.

 

WVU Art in the Libraries Graduate Student Exhibits Awards

Submission Deadline: May 15, 2025  

WVU Libraries invites graduate students to submit ideas for an exhibit that showcases their scholarship. $500 reward, visual interpretations based on academic or creative research.

List of academic research in need of participants. Studies must be IRB approved. Priority will be given to research being conducted as a requirement to fulfill academic degree.
