The WVU LGBTQ+ Center is committed to enhancing and promoting the retention and academic success of LGBTQ-identifying students at WVU. To this end, we have created the Hank Trout LGBTQ+ Scholarship, established in honor of Hank Trout; distinguished LGBTQ+ alumnus, HIV/AIDS activist, and supporter of the WVU LGBTQ+ Center and the students we serve.
The bi-annual Hank Trout LGBTQ+ Scholarship for LGBTQ+ undergraduate and graduate students is designed to offer annual funding committed specifically to recognizing student leaders who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and impact at WVU. This program, managed by the WVU LGBTQ+ Center, is designed to provide assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who cannot reasonably support their financial requirements through other financial or community resources.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis dependent on fund availability.
