The WVU LGBTQ+ Center is committed to enhancing and promoting the retention and academic success of LGBTQ-identifying students at WVU. To this end, we have created the Luke Frazier LGBTQ+ Scholarship, established in honor of Luke Fraizer, WVU alumnus with national and international recognition as conductor, music director and pianist and supporter of the WVU LGBTQ+ Center and the students we serve.
The annual Luke Frazier LGBTQ+ Scholarship for LGBTQ+ undergraduate and graduate students is designed to offer annual funding committed specifically to student leaders for attending statewide, regional and/or national events for LGBTQ+ awareness, personal development, enrichment and leadership (such as conferences, trainings, camps, etc) that enrich a student’s academic experience. This program, managed by the WVU LGBTQ+ Center, is designed to provide assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who cannot reasonably support their financial requirements through other financial or community resources.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis dependent on fund availability.
